How to fix what appears to be a backlight issue after dropping Ipad?

I dropped my Ipad Air 2 LTE on its side, (vertical) , while in a sturdy case. The screen would not come on until I did a soft reset. Once the Ipad turned on, the screen showed three dim spots from the top of the screen going down, on the left side, like flashlight beams. Touch screen is fully functional. Smacking Ipad several times did not work. To clarify, the entire screen is not completely dim, but much of it is. The entire screen is still clearly visible, but the top and left are dim comparable to minimum brightness setting. After reading forums, I believe it is a backlight issue, only on the left side and top. There is not an Apple store in the country I'm currently residing.

I usually let my dad take apart my devices, hes out of country, and I also don't think I have the tools. I was hoping there might be a possible solution that doesn't require taking off the screen. I guess I will wait til I'm back in the states. Thank you!
