We can help but we need the model number of the laptop.
Usually the cd tray comes out of the side, so a broken top makes no sense unless you mean the front plastic .
Usually there is one screw that holds the drive in and you just get another and slide it in and put the screw back in. Oh yes by the way ALL cd bezels will come off and can be replaced with a like bezel. they come off by pushing up or down or a bit of both. Be careful though.
Give us a better chance to help you by the model number of the Laptop.

how much is the price of cd tray for hp notebook ?
I'm so sorry I didn't answer any replies, but as I was removing the cd drive, I noticed, from the other time my puppy jumped in the middle of me, and it dropped that time too, and all I thought was it broke the bottom corner off. I started looking closer and saw my screen was separating, and some wires were showing. Instead of taking it in, I thought I could just hold it closed with a little clamp...Didn't work! I now need a new laptop, I can only view half of the screen, and I don't think it's repairable. Oh ya it's a hp notebook energy star, product K7W77UA#ABA. THANKS!

Ok well you are asking now about the video display. |No wires are on the cd/dvd side of the monitor only up thru the hinge at the left side.
To help more post a picture of the damage from on top and under. Also you said you see only half the screen, Top, bottom, left, right. \Your led screen is lit with bulbs on either side. To see these wires the screen must be damaged in its envelope. We will await for your pictures

Hi,
What is the full model number of your laptop?

Try snapping the plastic back on. Normally it's held on with small clips.
