Will the Touch-ID work after home button extension cable replacement?

I have damaged the home button CABLE (not the actual home button itself) of my iphone 6. I ordered a new one but the question is if my home button will function correctly?

I'm using the original home button, only the extension cable to the mainboard will be replaced. The cable witch is glued on the heat-spreading metal cover.

I wanted to be sure, I haven't received the part yet.

Thanks in advance!

So it won't affect the fingerprint reading ability of the home button right?

Yes.

Yup guaranteed. As long as you didn't damage the physical home button or mesa ic on the board itself you're good.

Hey Ben how do you manage to get around the 20 character minimum. I would really like to know. When I saw this I looked for ways to do it in the html but I have to take my hat off to your skills.

Just type in more than 20 characters then edit or use the HTML bolded and heading markup.
