What does FTM mean
FTM popped up on my screen. Can't turn the phone on or off. Help"!!

FTM is "Field Test Mode".
Does it turn off if you hold down the power?
Also, if you can get it to shut off, when you turn it back on, make sure the Volume Down or UP keys are not stuck or pressed down.

no it do es not tun off or on qhat should I do ?
I fixed it factory reset it.
My phone is doing the same thing but I held the power button and it cam back up with the same thing saying ftm
Yesterday during my lunch break to Telstra Business Office St Leonards and got my mobile phone analysed well it was the battery it has died and was advised that it was time get a new phone. Thankyou for your patience
You can change the battery in these phones even though they say you cannot. Battery Plus has them for 39.00 and they will install them for you. You can also purchase them off eBay, Amazon or any battery place on the internet.

I just held the power button till my phone turned back on. Then the phone turned to FTM. So I kept the power button down. Till it shut off and on. It finally came on.

okay i did all this and my phone came on and now its in safe mode. how do i shut off safe mode?

Held the power button and lower volume button down at same time.It said FTM a few times then it eventually came on.This is what girl told me at store I bought the phone from.Hope this helps because mines just went off for no reason.
She said the ZTE's have all kinds of bugs and problems.

I just ran in to this issue my low volume button wuz jammed I messed with it and den I held the low volume button down at the same time wit the power button n den I notice my fone turned on n now I'm able to use it n no more FTM on my screen I waznt able to turn my fone on or off but after I tried dis my fone iz now working hope dis helps u out dere n my fone is a non removable battery

You can actually change your battery even though they say you cannot. I have. I have the Zmax Pro with Metro. You can go to YouTube and they can show you how. Don't fall for their games wanting you to buy another phone.

Thank you... my down volume button was stuck... i just tapped it a few times with the handle of scissors and it popped back out... then it turned on...

Im trying to reset my ZTE bc i forgot my pw and im turning my phone off and pressing power and up button and its saying ( FTM
To exit long press power button and avoid volume button)
And i do but its not factory restting what do i do im stressing

I just had the same problem!
I Held my POWER BUTTON down until my phone powered up again. Don't recall ever seeing this in my screen FTM???
