@undergun it does sound like you are having a backlight issue. This could be caused by a failing inverter as well as other things. You do need to tell us what exact model your TV is. The other things you want to consider is to remove the back on your TV and take plenty of good pictures of the board and post those with your question. Use this guide for that. It will allow us to see what you see.

Update (01/22/2017)

@undergun take another picture of the area with the caps on the power board. From the one attached it looks like some of those caps have failed. Of course, I could be wrong and my old eyes may be failing me more:-)

Old truk, i have added pics and model info to my question. Sry for delay i have been out of town working and havent had a chance to break the tv down

It does appear that 5 of these are popped i check the others on all boards, and these are the only ones that appear popped

@undergun I'd replace the whole set with some high quality caps and see what you get.

Are they just solider in and how do i go about removing the white stuff around them?

by

@undergun, yes they are just soldered in. The white stuff is put on by the factory and will come off with a bit of heat. Do not try to pry it off or similar. When you remove the old caps, just solder new ones in and no worries about that stuff.
