My sphygmomanometer suddenly has its mercury disconnected,meaning that there are like air gaps in it, which results in wrong readings, I think there is a way to fix it, but do not know how??
it's really important to me, and I almost daily need to use it. and do not want to buy another on.

Hi,
Try firmly holding the gauge section of the sphygmomanometer and gently tap it against the palm of the other hand and see if the column re unites.
Here is a link that describes three methods of re joining the mercury column in a thermometer. The principle should be the same for a sphygmomanometer.

Do make sure you don't spill or loose any mercury!
If you do, don't touch it and make sure you collect all of it in a sealed container to be properly disposed of (Both toxic & hazardous waste).
My meter is quite old. Problem is its mercury is not going up. Returns from the half way

Did you read how to maintain a sphygmomanometer in the link above?
You may have to carefully remove the mercury and clean the tube and also check that the cuff and valve are OK.
Solution of tapping worked like a charm.
The mercury in my apparatus spilled out since i opened after a long time. Can this be fixed? All mercury is floating on the surface any way it could be inserted back in n used or this apparatus is gone waste
