Sometimes problem touch screen

Hello, I have a problem. My 5 c works perfectly then sometimes stop taking certain keys. If I rotate horizontally then I put it vertically, it works, then after a few days the problem occurs again, I tried to mount another original display but the problem sometimes recurs. Not even a tweet in dfu mode solves the problem

I disassembled the original one from an iPhone.

Was the phone dropped or liquid damaged? Was there some type of impact to the phone before this behavior started?

by

No liquids, the phone did not have a big impact.

Luca, this issue sounds like a digitizer issue. Have you done replacement of screen on your 5c? If so what kind of screen did you put on it? Some screen manufacturers make cheap screen that barely work.

I might try doing a reflow at ic

Since you tested with a different known good screen, it is now safe to say that your iPhone is suffering from a "touch" disease very common to all iPhones with a soft shell, and to a lesser extent to other iPhones with a hard shell. Just google "touch disease iPhone."

Soft shell iPhones would be: iPhone 5C, iPhone 6, iPhone 6+. The latter two models suffer from it the most. We see and fix a lot of them. Probably the most recurrent repair lately.

The repair may be simple if the damage is only on the display circuit, or more complicated if the touch ICs themselves are separating from the board. Either way, it is likely that the problem will increase until the screen becomes completely unresponsive. And either way you will need a microsoldering technician to fix it for you as this is not a DYI type of repair. You need proper microsoldering tools and skill other wise you risk ruining it completely.

Not to disagre but I wouldn't jump to touch ic just yet. Very possible but I always suggest check your physical digitzer connector first then move to touch ic. If touch ic doesn't fix then move to chestnut ic. Great answer also Rany!

Hence the "display circuit."

by

Do you mean touch circuit? Display circuit would follow backlight and chestnut. Also you know ics are apart of a circuit right?

by

touch is powered pp5v7 and pn5v7 from lcd pmu lcd powers touch

1st test supplies before removing any ic also trackpad ic has a driver so the supplies to this are primary to test

This is not a pro forum. This is a DYI forum

. When I say display circuit, I mean it in the general sense: 2 connectors, chestnut, caps, filters, resistors that all make up that circuit and may totally or partially fail.
