How to find model number

Hello,

I have a LCD from a tablet and need to find a new LCD for really cheap. How would I find the model number? There are a lot of letters and numbers.

@gigabit87898 You need to use the tablet for a base, any numbers you get off a screen will be specific to that screen make and manufacturers use all kinds of different suppliers. So you need to get the model number out of the tablet and then work from there. For example if its a galaxy tab 4 7inch screen . Do a search for that specific tablet screen . If your going to search for the screen by its screen part number you need to know who made the screen originally . Each maker will have there own parts code so for any given tablet there could be a hundred screen manufacturers each with there own part number. Hope this helps

The tablet is a digiland dl718m, was going to reuse everything but the motherboard since it was damaged and replace it with something like a raspberry pi zero.

Thats getting pretty small ? Have you been working on your soldering skills? I played around with rassies when thy first came out a few years ago good learning experience . When i played with it I used linux . Are you going there or are you loading android ? as for the screen you can pretty much use anything then thats of simalare size and seal it with tak you will need to get a flex cable to connect the screen to the pi. lots of luck
