Front Glass/Digitizer Home Button

I replaced the Front Glass/Digitizer with a new one I purchased from IFIXIT but the Home button does not work very well. There is no tactile feedback when pressed, and only works after pressing repeatedly a number of times. Is the unit defective or is there some installation issue I can tweak?

Thank you,

Paul

Update (01/11/2017)

Thank you for the feedback. The home button arrived as part of the front glass/digitizer assembly that I ordered from I-Fixit. The assembly received appears to be defective in regards to the home button. I was unable to determine on the I-Fixit website how to resolve this issue. I am thinking I-fixit should send me another assembly, and a method for returning the defective unit they sent me, but not clear how to request this on their website.

Please advise.

check to make sure that the home button is securely connected. often times when we do repairs we do not always connect things back the right way and we have issues because of it. other then that make sure that the cables are not damaged. the screen should have nothing to do with the home button so the problem should be with the home button. i hope that this helps you out and your home button is fixed soon.
