Can I get a video signal into this thing without a PHD?

Hi guys,

First time using iFixit so go easy on me.

I've recently intercepted a number of these units while they were on their way to the scrap heap. They are fully functioning 46" full HD LCD displays designed by Samsung to be incorporated into third party products such as televisions and monitors etc. You can see the specs here:

My question is: is it possible for me to get a video signal (HDMI or otherwise) into this device so I can use it as a monitor/display? The signal input is over two ribbon cables, one consisting of 41 pins, the other of 51. Power input is over two ribbon cables, both of 12 pins each. I had hoped that maybe the pinout cables in the manual would match up with the pinout labels on an HDMI cable in some way so I could have a play but clearly it is not that simple.

I'm not completely useless when it comes to things like this however I am very much out of my league on this one. If anyone can help please do speak to me like a child as it it probably the only way I will understand!

If worse comes to worse I shall take these off for recycling but my logic here is nothing ventured nothing gained!

Thank you.
