Backlight fuse is down and I do not see the apple logo at all

So I currently repairing a first gen. Ipad mini A1432, and the person who did the repairs before me which I'm assuming did not remove the battery before placing the lcd and digitizer down leaving the backlight fuse blown out. And I've read other posts of doing a soft or hard reset and either way I cannot do that because he also did something else to the home button, and I think he lost a piece because the home button is useless and does not even push, it doesn't even fit back in place.

So one of the options I read was to remove the dead backlight fuse and reconnect it with a solder, the problem is that I am not confident to where I can do that and it leaves the connection open so it runs the risk of blowing out the whole board in the future. So I need some help on replacing the fuse as painless as possible and any tips on why the ipad mini home button isn't sitting in its place properly would be helpful as well.

Having the connection "open" does not put the rest of the logic board at risk. The backlight filter is tiny, just 0.5 mil by 1 mil so if you don't have a steady hand or the right tools, you could do more damage.

Look for a micro soldering repair shop in your area, it's not a complicated repair and shouldn't cost too much. Then you can look at what's wrong with the Home button.
