How do I replace the battery
I get an error 2301 battery needs to recharge and then it doesn't.
I think the internal battery needs to be replaced.
How do I do this?

most tablets, you need to take a spudger to the seam of the housing, and pull the back off. most of them are fully held down by clips. (THERE ARE MODELS WITH OTHER TECHNIQUES)
after that, the battery is usually a 5Wire connector. 2 red 2 black and 1 white.
you could, (before trying a new battery) try exciting the battery with a 5.5V DC power supply for 30 minutes. this process fixes about 60% of the not booting tablets i see.
other than that, replacing the battery is straight forward on tablets.disconnect the connector, remove whatever screws are holding down the battery, and remove any flex ribbons that are laying across it. (usually 2 or 3)
then lift the battery, and repeat steps in reverse order with new battery.
