WD My passport 500gb not detecting showing unallocated 650gb

I'm a computer hardware professional. My WD My passport 500 gb is not detecting showing unallocated 650gb I Tried all kind formatting the drive. It shows unable to format. How to troubleshoot and what component will be the problem on hardware so that I can service myself?

First, open disk management. Find your disk in that list. Once you've found it, right click and hit delete volume for each partition on the disk. Once you've done this, the entire drive will become unallocated. Right click on the volume, and select new simple volume. Once this is done, it will ask you format it. Format it to NTFS. I did that and didn't work. When I create the partition it creates only 80gb in diskmanager and others unallocated unable to create or format the unallocated partition. And I used wd formating software, acronis disk director and partition magic tools software too it didn't work saying cannot format cycle redundary error

Do not create any partitions. Make all partitions unallocated, the create new simple volume from that single partition. You cannot format unallocated partitions.
