Error -36 with SSD hard drive

Hello everyone,

I just changed my hard drive with a new one which is a SSD "samsung EVO 850 EVO". It works well and I can write this message with my mac without problem.

The only one is when I'm copying more than one file on my computer from an external disk. The error -36 is displayed and I need to copy each file one by one (and sometimes it doesn't work). The hard drive is formated with a GUID partition and a MAC OS extended (journalised, encrypt). One of you has ever encounterd this issue and know how to fix it ?

Thanks a lot,

Answer this question I have this problem too

You'er hitting a known issue with the drive cable.

You'll need to replace it, follow this IFIXIT guide: MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Early 2011 Hard Drive Cable Replacement. You'll want this version of the cable (the better design): MacBook Pro 13" Unibody (Mid 2012) Hard Drive Cable - Apple P/N 923-0104

Before completing any work, please do a complete backup if this Mac. The last thing you want is some data stored on the drive to get lost in the process. Thanks!
