find fuse for my brake lites

gear shift will not come out park,did manual override,but my brake lits not coming on so trying see if its fuse??

You may find this thread of some help with respect to the fuse location. Fuse boxes usually have some sort of indication on the cover or on the inside as to which fuse is for which device.

I feel compelled to ask though, since you have to do a manual override to come out of park, are the brakes themselves working properly? I wouldn't want anyone driving a car with faulty brakes.

I'm thinking that you have a electrical interlock connection to the gearshift (as opposed to a mechanical cable), so you are on the right track, if i remember correctly there are two fuse boxes?? one under the hood and one under a access panel on the interior, both have fuse legends on the covers.

You may just lay on your back and check the brake switches under the dash (on a bracket, actuated by the brake pedal), if you have cruise control that will also be getting a signal from there (does it release from a tap on the brake?)
