Touchpad scroll settings gone?

A few months ago I was able to use the two finger scroll on my touchpad and also the pinch to zoom function. However, I had to factory reset the laptop recently due to issues with it running slow, and all of my touchpad features went away. I tried to turn them back on in my settings and I also tried to update the driver. I just simply do not have the option to enable these features again and it is extremely frustrating! All I can do is move the pointer and click.

Sarah Rouse , Found this info from anthony82 at HP forum, also posted a link for you to check out on same issue you are having and how to get device touch pad two finger scroll and pinch to zoom function working.

It could be a problem with the synaptic software.

Go into control panel and uninstall the synaptic program.

Start -> Type Control Panel -> Uninstall program -> right click and uninstall synaptic.

If it has you restart, go ahead.

Now pull up recovery manager

Go to start -> type Recovery

You should see recovery manager in the list

Open recovery manager and click software and driver re installation

Go through the list and find synaptic and reinstall.

It says synaptic driver but the program is with the driver

Good luck.

I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.
