MacBook Pro power button

My MacBook will not turn on. The power button is clicking, but not turning on the screen. Yes, it it charged always charging, and tried many power cables. The screen is always blank, just black and dimmed. No matter how long I hold the power button, it doesn't work, and I have tried most apple troubleshooters.

Likely C7771 has failed on the logic board and needs to be replaced. Get schematic and board view for the 2008 Macbook Pro 15", and measure this capacitor on the bottom of the board (you will be able to search for it using board view software). If it is measuring around 0.3v, replace it with a polymer capacitor of the same specification (found in the schematic). You will have to solder to onto one pad, with it laying across the IC next to it, then run a wire from the other side to ground, since polymer caps are bigger (why Apple used tantalum ones which fail).

Once done, measure the point with voltage and it will be around 1.05v

Have you seen if the power button is stuck? There's a possibility that it could be clicking but not entirely. You might want to consider carefully removing the button and checking to see if it's working.

No it works, I haven`t removed it, but it seems to be working like before and it has to be a problem with the logic board.

Then I would recommend asking a professional. If you happen to have a friend who is an expert at electronics, I would ask them and they may help for a small fee or even free.
