Replaced my headphone jack, still does not work?

Before I replaced my headphone jack, it was not working. It sounded very static, also I'm not able to use any in - ear mic for some reason my device won't detect it. I purchased a headphone jack replacement from ifixit, I replaced the part, and it is still very static. I'm confused as to what to do. Can someone help?

You either have a faulty part, or a problem on the logic board. Ideally, you need to isolate a variable. Can you test your headphones in another phone, or try the new headphone jack assembly in a known-good phone?

Small parts are notoriously hit or miss, even from great vendors like iFixit. You could try to have it replaced to try another one.
