Wi-Fi not seeing any networks Bluetooth still works

My MacBook Air was working perfect this morning but by mid day Wi-Fi disappeared, macOS looks for a network and nothing comes up. The AirPort card shows up in System Details and Bluetooth works fine but Wi-Fi just does not work.

I went to try Internet Recovery and even the BIOS Wi-Fi select doesn't show any networks.

Any help?

Ouch! You could have two possible issues here, the first is the AirPort card its self has failed (just the WiFi part) or your WiFi antenna cable had become disconnected or damaged.

If you can get your self as close as you can to your WiFi AP unit (Cable/DSL router) see if the system sees the signal if it does then you know the antenna cable is the issue. If not it's the AirPort board.

Here's the IFIXIT guide you'll need to follow: MacBook Air 11" Mid 2011 AirPort/Bluetooth Card Replacement and here's the needed part: MacBook Air (Late 2010/Mid 2011/Mid 2012) AirPort/Bluetooth Board - Used - Apple P/N's 661-5687, 661-6053 or 661-6622
