Can I use my iMac power supply to power the removed LCD?

I have removed my LCD (LM240WU2-SLB2) from my iMac, since the video card was dead. I'm converting the LCD to a standalone screen. I purchased this kit, which is specifically made for this exact LCD model:

Apparently though, the card's power input only handles 12V, which will power the card itself but not the backlight to the monitor, which is 24V. Will I be able to use the power supply from the old iMac to handle the backlight? Will that be able to handle all the power need this LCD will need, or will I need to use both the iMac power supply and the 12V power supply that plugs into the barrel port on this new conversion card?
