My router is not working?`

My router WAN port has no pins(inside),what am i do?

Hi,

Are you referring to the actual connecting pins internal to the WAN connector itself?

Is this a new router? If so it is strange that the WAN port is faulty. I suggest that you take it back for a replacement.

If it is used then perhaps that is why it was sold.

If so then you will not be able to connect the router to a modem, but you can connect your PC to a LAN port and then setup the router.

Have you had the personal identification number set? Or are you setting the router up for the first time . If the router has lost the ability to recognize the access number then unplug the router and hold the power button for about 30 seconds release the power button ,then plug the router in and boot it up. If this gives no joy then push the reset button on the back and set up your network again like you did the first time you set it up ,making new pin numbers and passwords. Hope this helps
