Will not connect to internet
My laptop won't connect to internet wifi or ether net on windows 10 any help please!

First things first turn off the laptop and then turn it on again . A fresh boot can sometmes fix the issue. If this brings no joy then try the following
1 Is your WiFi turned on , it happens
2 Is it set for airplane mode
3 Is it an open network or is it secure , if secure do you have the proper password
4 Will it connect with a Ethernet cable
5 try reloading the WiFi drivers
6 Check the connection of the antenna wires at the WiFi ca
7 If this started after a windows 10 upgrade you may need to find new drivers for your LAN this is done by going to your laptop makes home page finding support and looking in the drivers and download area for your specific computer
8 Do you have an anti virus program . If its not up to date it may actually be stopping you from going onto the internet McAfee if bad for this . Use an uninstaller program like Revo uninstallerto remove the program . DO NOT attempt to remove it by deleting it from program files as it leaves the registry files behind and these need to go as well.
If none of these bring joy then you may need to replace the WiFi card in the laptop.

What is the model number of your laptop?
Have you tried using the troubleshooter in the Network and Sharing Centre found in Control Panel? (to get to Control panel press the Win key and the x key together, a box will appear with links to various areas in Windows, click on Control panel)
