Trackpad right click does not work

Hi,

The right-click on my touchpad is not working...I have searched high and low and nothing seems to fix it...downloaded and installed smart gesture, ATK, etc...checked to see if right-click is disabled...

I dont what to do and I need my right-click to work...please help.

Hello @dsciola123,

Thanks for using IFixIt forum. You can replace the touch pad. The only thing is you didn't specify the make od the laptop. So once you know the laptop just google "{laptop} touch pad replacement" and purchase that. and then go to https://www.ifixit.com and search "{laptop}" and click the button called "guides" and look there. but with most Asus laptops it is easy to replace the parts.

So what I would do is make sure you remember where ALL of the connections are when removing the broken touch pad. Then install the new touch pad in the same fashion as you removed the broken one.

(Photos work well to remember how things go together.)

The right-click keyboard shortcut is to hold down SHIFT and then press F10. Just to help you get by till you replace the track pad. Hope this helps
