Fuel Gauge is not working

thanks.I guess I'll carry a can of fuel [I suppose it'll stink a little].

93chev k1500.I recently replaced fuel pump.fuel filter,fuel pressure regulator,sparkplugs,and wires.Everything was fine for a couple wks.

There may be several reasons. The moving block in the tank may have been damaged or jammed. Another reason could be that the electrical system of the tank gauge has been damaged (cables shorted, disconnected or unplugged). A much less probable case is that he gauge meter has a problem. Have the system checked by a vehicle electrician if you don't feel familiar with the system or if you cannot locate the cables and connectors in your car ( a lot of times this is difficult unless you have become familiar with the car's cable routing.).

melfart6in, There are a few reasons that may cause fuel gage stuck, check the fuse for being blown as a first step. Bad/corroded/loose connections on fuel gage wire/plug(clean and tighten) especially and ground you see, faulty in tank sending unit rheostat(test and replace if defective). Fuel gage defective(test and replace). Use the trouble shooting links below for more info on diagnosing, testing and repair of fuel gage. Good luck.
