paulharing, Since you did not post model #, I will post a links to changing the control board in a some models which should help in replacing yours. You can also do a google search using your (make, model,control board replacement). Good luck.

@L Pfaff my model #gsf26c5exy03 where can i find the control board (not the main control board)
I have a whirlpool model #gsf26c5exy03 thats is not coming out of defrost and the only time it will get off of it is when i unplugged the unit and plugged it back in.
