Repair guides, disassembly information, and troubleshooting for the Logitech G430 (released 2014).

G430's sound in & out

Hey, had my Logitech G430's for some time now, maybe 6 months. They've been serving me very well, but recently the sound went out in the left ear, and if I slightly move the cup a little bit it will come back, but it's definitely not manageable for gaming. Any possible fix for this? Thanks!

since you mentioned that the movement on the cup affects the intermitence, my first thought is to test continuity on both cables that carry the signal from the left earcup to the left earcup, if you have a multimeter and a a couple of small screwdrivers you can do a fairly easy test, disassemble both left and right cups, then use the continuity function on your multimeter, test both ends of the positive cable, then the negative, you might need to desolder the cables from the rigth earcup(but first take a pictures or mark where each cable was conected, as polarity on your headphones can affect in some scenarios) as the headphone circuit might close the circuit from the other side and tell you that there's a continuity even if one of the carriers is broken. if you find that one of the carriers is broken you'll need to consider replacing it or looking for the place where it is broken and see if you can pull some cable from inside the headband (theres a couple of inches coiled inside it, these allow you to adjust the headset height without straining the cables), so there's where your DIY habillities come in handy.
