Display Cable Connector on Logic Board

I recently got water damage on my old, 13" Mid-2012 Unibody MacBook pro and my only issue (thankfully) seems that the backlight is busted. After opening my computer, I believe there is corrosion damage on my display connector on the logic board. My question is... does this make sense, and if it does, would anyone be able to point me in the right direction for a replacement PCB connector? (I won't be doing the work myself, and this is a spare computer, not essential for my day-to-day)

Answer this question I have this problem too

There are many online retailers that supply spare LVDS connectors for your model of MacBook Pro - just search up "A1278 2012 LVDS connector" and lots of results should show up. This isn't an easy job to do though, and micro-soldering equipment is necessary. Also, it is likely that a connector replacement isn't the only solution to the repair, as liquid damage might have destroyed another component along the backlight circuit.
