Is it possible to increase the OD of a barrel connector?

I have dog training receivers that are rechargeable. The barrel connectors no longer make a strong connection, making it difficult to recharge them. Is it possible to increase the OD size of the barrel connector to increase the connect when plugging in?

Can you post some pictures of what the connector(s) looks like? Could it be of both the male plug and the female socket? Use this guide to see how to do it. Adding images to an existing question.
