Does anyone know how to get the data out?

Hi, I have made a back up of a Samsung J5 and I require the data in a more universal format, specifically the contacts. At the moment they are in a .spba format and I was hoping I could get them in a .csv or similar format. Does anyone know of any apps that will let me read and export this data, The calendar would also be helpful.

Thanks

I just tried a few tricks and they all failed. Google failed too.

The easiest thing would probably be to upload them to another samsung phone, then sync contacts and calendar with Google. Then you would have access to them from any browser.

Would be nice to have a program that I could just read the data, if I had their new phone I'd just use smartswitch to restore the data to the new device.

NOTE; THIS PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVED.

Ok I found the answer to my question. Use the original Samsung Kies (Kies 3 doesn't work). It will let you read the .spba file and save it as .vcf or .csv. Too easy, Thanks for the effort.

Won't do the calendar, not as important so am leaving for now, but if anyone works it out it would be good to know for future use.

Kies 3 is the version I used to read the contacts file. You may need to use the latest version or even smart switch to make the back up but depends on the device.
