LCD with backlight but have blackscreen.

Hello everyone.

Well, i tried my first ipad mini a1432 front glass change and all went fine until i installing and testing the new front glass. My attemps on hard reboot and batterie plug out for 2min failed miserebly.

Now i don't know what damage i've done, if its the lcd or the logicboard. And ive notice that i cut some cable from the lcd if you look at the pics you'll see it and that might be the probleme.

i hope ill find the ansewers to my questions. Thank you

I don't see any pictures posted here. Try plugging it into a computer and see if iTunes detects the device at all. It probably should.

Can you use a flashlight on the screen and try to turn the iPad Mini on to see if the LCD displays an image but with no backlight?

If you did not unplug the battery before unplugging and plugging in the LCD ribbon cable then the backlight filter may have blown.

The cable that gets teared on accident the most is the home button cable usually.

Ive just posted the pics

Definitely need to replace the LCD once the LCD flex / ribbon cable gets teared.

If you do choose to buy a replacement LCD make sure to unplug battery before unplugging / plugging one in.

I'm guessing you tried to pry at the bottom of the LCD? It's a bad idea to do so because that is where the LCD ribbon flex is. Next time pry at the top and sides of the LCD only.

Ben, i wanna thank you for the fast reply. Well, im gonna try a new lcd to see if it works.

Pull out the cable that connects the screen to the board then reconnect it I've had that problem happen on my friends iPad it would explain why it's able to connect to your PC but not actually showing up on the screen itself
