My ematic tablet will not stay carged after being charged fully. WHY?

Ematics are the worst tablets I have come across. They suck. Never will I buy another one nor recommend them to anyone. They are a cheap piece of crap.

It's not cheap I've spent $98 each for my kids and ematic company wants 60 plus shipping because they won't fix problems you have to ship your old one at your own cost and then send a new one. I'm stuck with 2 tablets that aren't working for a 3 and 5 yr old. I thought on a tablets would be great for a head start in learning but if they don't work what good was a single moms investment of almost 200 dollars?

I had it for 9 months. Is it normal for it to go bad so soon?

Hi,

No it should last longer. If you only had it for 9 months since new consult the manufacturer's warranty documentation that came with the tablet as to what you have to do to make a claim for a warranty repair or refund. If you can't find the documentation search for the warranty info about your tablet online.

Hi,

How long have you had the tablet? If you have had it 2-3 years then your battery is probably failing. Even rechargeable batteries have a life span. I agree that lower end tablets usually do not come with the best quality battery available.

If you wish to keep the tablet perhaps you should try replacing the battery and see if this solves your problem.

Just check online to see if there are any You Tube video showing how to open your particular tablet or generic tablets in general so that you can gain internal access and change the battery.

The information on the battery will help you to locate a replacement.

An example of what it might like is shown in the image below. This is NOT, as far as I know the battery from your tablet. Click on the image to enlarge it for better viewing.

The information is a follows:

3.7V 2500mAH battery with dimensions of 3.5mm (H) x 70mm (W) x 95mm (L) thus the number 357095

With the information taken from the battery you should be able to source a replacement fairly easily from places such as Ebay etc. If you can find a similarly dimensioned battery with the same voltage specification but with a higher AmpereHour (AH or mAH, 1000mAH =1AH) rating then perhaps you should consider installing that. Obviously it will take longer to fully charge, but then it will also take longer to discharge as well. Just something to think about.

Hopefully this is of some help.
