Plugged in but not charging

I have just bought a Nuvion Tablet that comes with windows 10. A problem I have is that when I plug in the tablet. The Icon on the task bar shows that it is plugged in but when I press the button it shows a little message saying it is not charging and it still says I have the tablet plugged into. This only happens after a certain time of charging. It will charge for a bit then go wacky on me. I have provided a screenshot of what is happening

Hi, What happens if you run down the tablet, by using it on the battery, to say 50% and then connect the charger? Does it go to 100%? Have you checked the power settings when using the tablet on power or battery in the Power Options icon in Control Panel? (press Win key + x key together, box will open, select link to Control Panel) Sometimes the charge doesn't start until it falls below a certain %, say 94% for example.

Ok, that does make sense. And no, I have not run the battery down by less then 50 percent. But I know if I shut off the tablet and reconnect the power cable then it will start charging again.

Hi When i connect the charger the red indicator light does not light up.

Have used several charging cables but same result. What do i do?

Micah, after applying what jayeff suggest, if Nuvision Tablet still not working properly, since it is new return under warranty for refund/repair/replacement.
