Hi, Have you checked that you have the latest appropriate firmware update for your phone, location and carrier? What is the make (is it Kyocera?) and model name of your phone?

Hi,

Have you checked with your mobile phone service provider what their USSD codes are? Each carrier has their own codes.

If you try dialling one of their codes, what happens? Do you get a USSD running message on your phone and nothing else happens?

Perhaps a downloaded app is blocking it.

Try the following:

1. Back up your phone using the phone's backup feature.

2. Ensure that the phone's battery is fully charged.

3. Perform a hard reset on the phone, either by using the phone's factory reset option or by using the keys on the phone.

Here is a link that shows how to use the keys.

Be aware that a factory reset (hard reset) will erase all your user data and downloaded apps. It will restore the phone to a factory default condition. It will be like when you first bought it. That is why it is important to do a backup first.

Once the phone has been reset try using the USSD codes and see if they work.

If they don't you may have to contact Kyocera as to how you can reload the firmware for your device.

If they do, using the backup that you made earlier, restore the phone using the restore feature in the phone.

Once it has been restored check to see if the USSD codes still work.

If they do then the reset has corrected the problem.

If they don't it may be that a downloaded app is causing the problem. This will be hard to find as you will have to uninstall your downloaded apps one by one and test the USSD codes after each one has been uninstalled to find the one that is causing the problem.

Basically what you are doing is Backup > Reset > Test >Restore > Test

Hi @feri ,

Not sure if you have solved your problem or not so apologies if you have.

Here is a link to the AT&T firmware update section for your model phone. It details what the latest firmware is (Android OS V5.1.1) and how to update it.

It says that you have to update it via a WiFi connection. Are you trying to do it this way?
