What is file GUT32B1.tmp
Acer program file GUT32B1.tmp is chewing up nearly fifty gigs of allotted memory and I cannot access it to see what's in it

Hi,
Try using Process Monitor to see if you can find out which program is writing to the file. That may give you a clue as to what might be in there. Set the filters to the folder you are interested in.
As it is a .tmp file you should be able to cut and paste it, (I assume it is in the Temp folder) to an external drive just to keep a copy until you find out what it is.Then see if it is re-created either when you start your laptop or when a particular program is started or if a program fails because it is not there.

try this, boot to safe mode then press the "WinLogo button plus R" for the run command box to popup then type %Temp% and Select all files and press "Shift + Delete" the confirm the deletion.. reboot to normal and you should be good to go... Good luck with that
