Forcing computer to recognize device.

Ipod Touch gen 4 8gb. Obliterated screen with no response to any touches. restored to factory settings hoping that my computer could recognize it. i have used trail software to see what files i can retrieve and have gotten a majority. but for some reason all apple ipod oriented memory recovery programs do not retrieve songs. i believe the program Remo will do everything i ask it as it is a harddrive recovering program and will recover all information on the ipod as well as things i don't need (or so says the company). the only problem is that my computer and the Remo program either wont recognize the device or can not recognize it. iTunes can read write anything i want onto the ipod. i have another ipod touch albeit a previous generation but my computer had no problem getting into it and everything and that was without unlocking it as well. the most annoying thing is that all the ipod programs can detect the device and know when its connected but my computer can not. also im using a windows 10 64bit. device manager knows its there as well.

Answer this question I have this problem too

sorry for the slow reply had to find a cord for the device. yes i have used it and a really good program its a keeper. sadly i was an impatient one and went for the nuclear option to get some progress and formatted the device in hopes of just using a recovery tool. didn't work. is there any way i can use ifunbox in conjunction with another application to recover deleted files?
