My 86 F150 Lariet

She has a newer engine and has acumulated about 40,000 miles and for 3 years I have fought this fuel/brain problem I think it's a pinched or partially broken wire in the wire harness. You buy a new brain and get 3 starts on the 4th the brain is fried she'll crank over but will not fire the brain is controlling the spark what is the best way to find and fix this problem????

@larry311969 what brain are we talking about?

by

@larry311969 , check to ensure the brain has excellent grounding and all plugs free of corrosion/tightly connected, if all looks good, because intermittent, you will have to remove cover wrap/loom on brains wires and check wires individually for damage as a DVOM may not always pick up on the bad wire if making and loosing contact or just replace the trouble-sum brain wire harness.
