Flywheel removal to replace sheer key

I need to remove the flywheel on a Briggs and Stratton 5 hp engine to replace the sheer key. I have done this before, but I can't remember if the threads on the shaft are right hand or left hand. I have removed the cover and part of the pull cord start assembly. The body keeps the flywheel on and I have not been able to un screw it!

The engine is back firing through the carberator that I'd how I know it has jumped time.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Thank you! When the righty did not work, too tight I guess, I thought it was time to check with someone else. I will bear down this time!
