White lines and unresponsive touch screen on iPhone 6

This morning I dropped my Iphone 6. Now my touchscreen is unresponsive and there's white lines up and down the screen.

I've never attempted to fix a phone on my own but reading some of these threads I see that it could just be that something is loose? Would it be wise to purchase the tools needed to attempt to fix it myself? What do you think the issue is and more importantly do you think it's fixable at all?

Answer this question I have this problem too

This is very common. I would very first disconnect the display and reconnect it back. It is possible the digitizer cable became loose but it is more likely it got damaged. If it doesn't work after a quick disconnect, reconnect, and soft reset. New screen should work. If that doesn't, most likely motherboard damage but I think you should be good.
