How to separate the LCD Screen display from the Touch panel?

My iPod Touch's screen doesn't work, only displays white color. All the others work, the touch screen, even is sincronize.

I read the teardown part, when you describes that the front glass and LCD are permanently fused together, increasing the cost of repairing broken front glass. But I found on eBay an LCD display, whitout the touch part. It's possible to replace only the LCD display? It does not matter to me to destroy the LCD.

Here's the link of the display:

Thanks! And sorry about my bad english. I'm from Mexico.

I don't think it's possible; at least, I looked at an old bad (cracked) iPhone 4 screen, and it really really was impossible to separate them, even if you destroy the LCD.

Is it ethical to sell parts that can't actually be used? :/

To OP:

they can not be separated.

Stupid eBay sellers sell these because people looking to do the replacement on the cheap will buy useless parts.

Plain and simple: Buy the assembled one. Just did a replacement a few minutes ago, easy and smooth.

I agree - Apple glues them together with a really strong adhesive. Industial design as it shouldn't be.

Do a search about this on ifixit. Personally I advise against it, some say it can, most say "No Way" I suggest to replace it as a unit.
