I have the same problem the display turned off if not used with in 1 or 2 mins. I then have to sign on to some of my programs. I have adjusted the power settings but it does not help.

Hey Tim,

Mine used to turn off because of a faulty battery which seems common in these laptops.

SOLUTION: There is a setting in “advanced power options” > Battery > Critical Battery Action. Change the “Plugged in” setting to “Do Nothing”.

I hope this helps! Good luck!

There are several reasons why a laptop may randomly shut off during use. One of the most common is the computer is overweighting. I suggest reviewing the trouble shooting guide under computer is over heating for suggestions on how to resolve this issue.
