MacBook Air replace 13" 2014 monitor assembly with a 13" 2010 assembly

My 2014 13" MacBook Air monitor is dying. I have a late 2010 model that is in perfect condition. I would like to put that monitor on the 2014. I know the resolution is lower but I'd rather have a working machine that is newer. Will the mounting points match and will the cables connect?

No, the 2010 assembly will only fit up to the 2012. The 2013-2015 assemblies are all the same. You can replace just the LCD to save on cost, but I would not recommend this unless you are very careful and have a lot of experience replacing screens on other models.
