Have you tried a restore in iTunes?

by

I tried a restore and gave me an error message saying restore could not be completed

by

What was the exact error message?

by

The error message was #29 and I did replace the old battery with a new one and thats when it started. Im going to put the oem battery back in and see if that goes away.

by

Yes, error 29 means a bad battery -- you might need to return your new battery to wherever you bought it for a better one. See e.g. Try to restore get a error 29

I'd check some of the other questions regarding this issue. There was mention that an oem battery causes iTunes fault ?28&1601.( apple can't recognise the hardware) I'd also replace the old battery and see what happens.
