1 Why is my laptop not charging?
Whenever I plug my laptop in, it doesn't charge. It only runs on battery power. I can't tell whether it is my adapter or my battery that is the problem.

Unfortunately, it is hard to determine if the battery or adapter is issue by just eyeballing it. If the adapter is the issue, you can test it by using another adapter, or simply buying a new one.
