Why is my camera not turning on?

My camera is a Nikon Coolpix P520 and its not turning on. I've searched online and I have found many people with the same problem as me. I've charged the camera but when i press the on button it dosen't have any reaction what so ever. Then the light on the button that signifies that it is on turns off and it takes a few tries for the on light to turn back on.

Same problem. The camera is in good condition, not been dropped. The battery shows it has charge when tested with a meter.
