The dryer would only start in the summer.

hello. I have Frigidaire dryer FEFB9200ES0 from 2005

it works perfectly during the summer.

during the winter it would not start.

However, when I bring it into service mode by pressing select pause/cancel and then start/pause cancel, it will spin and heat.

I also was able to see two error codes, E9E and E16 through the service mode.

Thank you,

demamey

E9E Code = Low Voltage seen at the Control. Make sure to check the RED wire on the Control Board that connects to the Heat Relay. This is L1 to the Control Board and we have seen bad/loose connections and burnt wires at the terminal causing this issue.

You will most likely need to replace the main control board.

Are you sure that's not an E61 error code?

Thank you so much! Will check it out, would be great if it's just a cable, the board seems quite expensive. I will check the code again, but I am quite sure... Many thanks.

I hope it's just a badly connected wire. Yes, they seem to be very proud of this board at $300, but I would get the part number here and do a web search for a better price if that indeed is the problem. The board may also have some possibility of repair: http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/K...
