Volume control does not work
The volume bar is on screen and has set itself to 100 the maximum volume. Why can't I adjust it!

Hi,
Try pressing the volume up/down buttons on the TV itself and see if there is any response in the Volume bar on the TV.
Sometimes the 'buttons' strip fails and causes problems.
If that doesn't work, with the power disconnected from the TV take the back off the TV and locate the ribbon cable which connects to the control buttons strip and carefully disconnect it, (take a picture of the connection before you disconnect it to remind you how it was connected in case you have to reconnect/replace it) replace the back cover and reconnect the power and then see if the TV responds normally to the remote control.
