does not switch on

the power cable when connected to the piano was very loose and so when i press the switch button the light will come on and sometime not

i would move the cable a bit until the light comes on

it is my suspicion that i have short circuited the machine

Update (10/14/2016)

i have used the batteries option the light does not come on i feel that the problem is inside the piano

i have opened it and was gobsmacked so many boards and me and electronic we don't talk much

Mine wont turn on with the batteries at all. It just makes a click sound and thats it. Does anyone know why that would happen?

maouhoub this "move the cable a bit until the light comes on" sounds a bit like a loose connection. Does not sound like a short circuit, just a broken connection. This could be at the adapter or the connector on your keyboard. I would change the adapter end on the AC adapter first since this would be the most likely candidate.

thank you however tried with batteries only but the the piano will not power on i expect the damage or damages is inside of the machine

maouhoub time to open it up and check the power connections. Download the service manual to help you with that from here. If you need help with anything, post some good images with your Question. For that use this guide. Focus on the power connector and the on switch first. Make sure that you have power going to the unit. You will need a multimeter of sorts for this.
