Had a power outage, and after my computer won't turn on? solved
iMac 8,1 - OS El Capitan with 4 GB RAM
I experienced a power outage and after that I tried to turn on my computer but didn't turn on. Is it logical the power supply needs replacement.
Any suggestions?
Do you think I can fix it?
Thank You in advance!

hard to tell without some more additional information. taking it apart and inspecting the internal condition of the device can go a long way. smell for anything burned. take pictures.

@vinnie777 - Can you tell us your exact model here. Go to this web site and plug in your S/N which is located on the bottom of your system foot: EveryMac - Look up. Once you find it paste the systems URL here for us to see what you have.

For 3-4 days I tried so many things and nothing happen.
Include the 10 sec unplug. But always trying and trying.
But Eureka....
Today I was with luck, began to work, I write from this computer.
So...
What I did?Very good question.
So I put the power cable into the computer and began to move it inside the computer, and after 5 sec I heard the sound and began to work.
So after I was thinking if the problem was the outrage, but for sure as I think was
connection issue with the power cable, or something that was close to the cable inside the computer and after my strong moving did connection.
I will be very happy with all this experience to help to somebody with the same problem.
I want to thank You again for everybody that gave his time to write down here
and to help me. Now this experience hope to help You as You helped me!!!
I am now very happy!
