Edifier MP19 USB Port damaged

The USB port on my Edifier MP19 speaker/radio is damaged so now it won't charge. Can anyone advise on how to open it so I can inspect and either straighten the USB port of have it repaired? I cannot find any screw (even under the rubber pedestals, and I don't want to damage it.

Also cannot find any assembly manual online or on the Edifier site

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I found this out the hard way. Luckily not too much damage.

You need to pry off the plastic piece where the buttons are. It clips on.

Then you need to remove the front speaker grill. There are two clips beneath the buttons which need to be raised, then gently pull the grill off.

There are screws beneath the grill. Remove the screws and you can then split the casing open. Beware of fine aerial wire that is soldered onto PCB and glued to casing. It could break quite easily.

I confirm that this works.

Thanks a lot, Julian Ewert.

Hello, even with this information I can't pry that button part. There is no space between parts I cannot insert any tool. Can somebody post any photos what parts look like when disassembled?

You can see on my photos where you have clips, on that black part. You have to pry them with some flat tool, it's a bit tricky but doable.
