Why cant I get the lock button to click after repacement?

Hello all,

I am posting to ask, how do I get my iphone 6 lock button to click again after replacement? I cannot tighten the screws without the button jamming.

Could it be a faulty part or is there a nick to installing iphone 6 lock buttons? What position does the little key on the lock button have to face?

I have tried numerous reinstallation & made sure there is nothing in the way.

Help is much appreciated!

Did you take the metal contact pad off of the old one and put it on the new one? New buttons do not always come with the contact pad- which is a pain to be honest. If you do not move the contact pad to the new one, it will not click.

I ended up finding the right amount to tighetn the bracket, because fully tighten it would make the button stick but too loose and the screen would force the bracket to hold the button in
